Burnley's rivalry with Blackburn is one of English football's oldest, and evidently pettiest, rivalries.
A kind-hearted soul made the egregious error of commissioning a Blackburn Rovers-themed birthday cake at a Burnley-supporting cake shop, and it all went horribly wrong, albeit rather subtly.
The baker did as instructed, producing a delicious-looking cake with Rovers' club crest on it along with the words 'Happy 40th birthday Ashley', but hidden beneath the sponge was a nasty surprise.
When the Blackburn fan cut into the cake he realised to his horror that there was a layer of Burnley-esque claret and blue icing in the middle.

Whether Ashley took the joke well is anyone's guess, though a fellow Blackburn fan, whose sister attended the party, admitted he "respected" it after uploading a couple of photos of the cake to social media.
He wrote: "My sister went to a 40th birthday last night with a Blackburn Rovers cake… which was clearly made by a Burnley fan who put claret & blue icing in the middle. Regrettably have to respect it [laughing face emoji]."
Fans on social media were loving it too, with one user branding the prank "genuinely superb".
