Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain were the rock star couple of the 90s, and their relationship captured the public's attention.
Just days after honoring the late Nirvana front man,Love again took to Instagram on Monday in honor of their wedding 28 years ago.
The 55-year-old singer shared a photo from their 1992 wedding in Honolulu Hawai'i and reminisced on the decades since.

'28 years ago,' Love wrote. 'I recall feeling, deeply, delighted, dizzy, so in love, and knowing how lucky I was.'
She shared her love for the late singer, who died by suicide just two years after their wedding. At the time in 1992, Nirvana was at the peak of their fame and Love was a star on the rise with her band Hole.

In her post she continued: 'But between Kurt’s strange amazing divinity, and the honor of a few true friends, the gift of desperation and sobriety. Of a Higher power and of love, and of empathy, I’m here now.'

The coupe, who married just months after they began dating in late 1991, welcomed their daughter Frances Bean Cobain, six months after their wedding, in August 1992.

Cobain was in his plaid pajamas, as he note ably was feeling lazy on their big day and didn't want to put on a suit.
While Love wore a satin and white lace dress that once belonged to actress Frances Farmer.
On what would have been their 28th wedding anniversary Love said she spoke with her sponsor, lit candles, 'chanted, diamoku,' walked her dog and enjoyed sushi with a close friend.

An article around the time of Frances' birth suggested that Love used heroin while knowingly pregnant, though she said her words were taken out of context.
The incident ultimately led to Frances being taken out of her parents care for a time beginning when she was two weeks old.
They both attempted to get clean in March before welcoming their daughter, now 27, but quickly left their detox programs.
After their wedding Cobain continued to struggle with drug use, depression and isolation. He was in rehab in early 1994, and left just days before his death in Seattle, on April 5.
