The Wisconsin village of Plover had its own name misspelled when a water tower was repainted on Thursday, and locals now want it to stay.
Painters hired to revamp the village's water tower accidentally reversed two of the templates, resulting in the 'Village of Plvoer' being scrawled across it for all to see, according to the Stevens Point Journal.
But village residents say they actually prefer the typo and don't want it fixed, while creating hilarious memes mocking the blunder in two local Facebook pages.
'Thank you to the painters... Your human error and work mistake has gone public, but PLEASE don't be down on yourself. You have brought our community such JOY! (& creativity!)' wrote Dawn Lutter.
'Humor is so healing and uniting. Your mistake is gold to our community.'

'Lvoe it!!' joked one resident. 'Big lvoer of it' another local posted to the 'Stevens Point Area: Happening Now' and 'You Know You're From Stevens Point If...' Facebook pages.
'I think it should be left just the way it is….. great tourist attraction!!!' Margie Anderson added.

ShareOthers questioned the motives behind such an egregious typo of an otherwise simple word.
'Mistake, or planned viral publicity?' questioned Mike Jaworski.
'Whoever he/she is, they are never. Ever. Going to live this down' Alyxra Stark noted.
But despite the outpouring of support for the typo, Village Administrator Dan Mahoney said the spelling error was quickly covered up, with plans to have it fixed by Friday.
The gaffe is actually not the first to grace a Wisconsin water tower, with painters mistakenly covering over parts of the words 'Village of Sussex,' while leaving the letters 'SEX' on it back in 2017, WISN 12 News reported at the time.
Drivers passing by it stopped along the sides of Highway 164 to gawk at the embarrassing blunder.
'I stopped here because I noticed something funny on the water tower behind me here,' Will Hansinger told the outlet.
'I think it's hilarious, they left the best part of the town (name) in my opinion,' he cheekily added.
'You gotta take a picture of that,' another passerby said.
